In doing the monthly or so Google search on myself, found a little blurb reviewing some collage pieces I had in a group art show in Long Island City last year. Fascinating to see the correlations between what I intended while creating the work and the viewer’s unbiased thoughts. Glad to know I’m getting at least something right.

Highlights here include Lexi Namer’s brooding digital collages of what seem to be vintage photographs to create wide vistas of sky and prairie – these works efficiently draw the viewer in, and forcefully bringing up questions of distortion, interruption, and the difficulties of reconstructing history.
